Formally incorporated in 1998, the Malting Industry Association of Canada (MIAC) represents four member companies who process more than one million tonnes of malting barley each year, in six plants located in Canada's four westernmost provinces.

Malteurop Canada Limited

Though the smallest by capacity, processing 90,000 metric tonnes or 10 percent of Canada’s barley each year, MaltEurop is part of the MaltEurop Group, a large, multinational parent company with 23 plants in 12 countries.  Purchasing ADM Malting in 2008, MaltEurop has continued to upgrade its Winnipeg plant and build a reputation for excellence among brewing customers.

MaltEurop is experienced in managing trade issues across jurisdictions.  It brings a unique perspective to the Canadian malting industry regarding issues that affect the current international trading environment.
